Terms & conditions.

These terms govern your use of this website. Please read them before you browse further or submit any form.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 12; continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Who operates this site

This Site is owned and operated by Drury Professional Corporation, a professional corporation practising law under the trade name “Drury,” with offices in Calgary, Alberta and Point Edward, Ontario (referred to in these Terms as “Drury Professional Corporation,” “the firm,” “we,” “us” or “our”). References on this Site to “Drury” are references to Drury Professional Corporation.

3. No legal advice — no solicitor-client relationship

The content on this Site — including practice-area pages, insights, biographies and the record of selected decisions — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, it does not create a solicitor-client relationship, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a lawyer who is familiar with your specific circumstances.

  • No solicitor-client relationship is formed by browsing the Site, downloading materials from it, or sending an unsolicited message through the contact form or an intake form.
  • A solicitor-client relationship is formed only once the firm has confirmed, in writing, that it has agreed to act for you, typically through a signed retainer agreement.
  • Do not send confidential, privileged or time-sensitive information through the Site unless a lawyer at the firm has first confirmed, in writing, that the firm represents you. If a matter is urgent, call the office directly.
  • Submitting an intake form does not secure or protect any limitation period, deadline or urgent date. Limitation periods continue to run whether or not you have contacted us.

4. Permitted use

You may view, download and print pages from this Site for your own personal, non-commercial reference, provided you keep all copyright and other proprietary notices intact. You may share a link to a page on this Site.

5. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, provincial or local law or regulation;
  • Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or exploit any content from the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent;
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or use automated means to extract content from the Site other than standard search-engine or AI-assistant indexing that respects our robots.txt and llms.txt directives;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, its underlying systems, or any account, server or network connected to the Site;
  • Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code, or otherwise interfere with the Site’s normal operation;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, when submitting a form on the Site;
  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information through the contact form or any intake form.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, the Drury name and mark, layout and design — are the property of Drury Professional Corporation or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property right to you, and no licence is granted except the limited permission described in Section 4.

7. No reliance; no guarantee of results

Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts, evidence, applicable law and procedural posture of each matter. References on the Site to past results, selected decisions or client outcomes are provided for illustrative purposes only. Past results are not a guarantee, warranty or prediction of the outcome of any future matter, including yours. We make no representation or warranty about the accuracy, completeness or currency of any content on the Site, and content may not reflect the most recent legal developments.

The Site may link to, or embed, third-party websites and services (for example, CanLII decisions or third-party service providers used to operate our forms). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of any third-party site. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk and subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drury Professional Corporation, its lawyers, employees and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site, or your reliance on any content contained on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Drury Professional Corporation, its lawyers, employees and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where a matter relates specifically to our Ontario office, in which case the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada also apply. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta or Ontario, as applicable.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The “Effective date” above reflects the date of the current version. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
